Produplicator's Smart USB Connection

Produplicator offers a true PC connection for a dedicated standalone duplicator. In fact, no other controllers available can offer a way to connect a standalone duplicator to a PC whereby any files can be transferred from the PC to the duplicator’s HDD for greater convenience and reliability. Produplicator introduced the new smart USB connection.
What are the benefits of smart USB? Firstly, smart USB does not have to translate data between the interface and the computer. That means that since the user is connecting a USB cable from a PC to a SATA connected drive, it will provide a true and more stable data transfer as opposed to connecting a SATA device like the HDD or optical drive to a PC through an alternate connection like USB or such. Secondly, because of this, smart USB has a much faster data transfer rate allowing files to be sent from the PC to the duplicator at speeds as high as 480Mb/sec. This greatly decreases the amount of time needed to download a file to the duplicator thus increasing the duplication production.
So if you’re truly interested in improving your throughput and decreasing the idle time needed to create and prepare a master, using a smart USB connection on your future CD DVD duplicators or other compatible produplicator duplicator would be your best option.

Produplicator uses controllers with Dual Bios structure for an added measure of security against data corruption.

Nearly everyone either has experienced for themselves or known someone who lost important or sensitive data, information, and/or images.  So, we can appreciate the devastation one would feel for loosing those files.

Controllers work much the same as a motherboard with limited responsibilities and functionality.  Produplicator is one of the largest dvd duplicator manufacturers in the market and when we were developing our latest duplicator, we felt it was imperative to include Dual BIOS controller as an important safety precaution.

There are numerous possible ways, although many are remote possibilities, in which flash memory BIOS can become corrupted.  If that were to happen, it could prevent the user from being able to boot up or operate the duplicator altogether.  That’s why we developed our controller with a Dual BIOS chipset to ensure greater reliability and continued operation, even if an accident were to occur that would normally cripple the controller and therefore the entire duplicator.

Once the BIOS is down and the flash memory data corrupted because of an accident, like a sudden power failure, the backup BIOS is able to activate the entire system and retrieve the data back onto the initial BIOS through a firmware update if needed.

So if you don’t want to take any chances, do it right the first time, and purchase Produplicator equipment for all your duplication needs.

What is BIOS:
BIOS (Basic Input-Output System) is a complete boot system. It posts some routines for basic essential hardware operations, which are important for operating system's boot.

Unique in Europe! M-Disc DVD and BluRay Duplicators

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

M-disc, Write Once and Read Forever

You might feel like you’re making a “permanent” backup of your files when you copy them onto a DVD or backup to a computer hard-drive, but the truth is these devices suffer from natural decay and degradation. Current DVD technology uses organic dyes and low laser power to make marks on the data layer of a standard recordable DVD. Over time, these marks become unreadable because organic dyes degrade when exposed to minimal levels of light, heat, and humidity. This means all the data you thought was safely stored could be lost because the discs you used have an average lifespan of only about 3 to 5 years! Why would you risk your data based on an average; hundreds of discs taken into account in that average were corrupt and unreadable after only a few months. With Millenniata, we don’t subject you to the possibility of losing your data. When we say write once and read forever, we mean it.

How does the M-DISC compare to other DVD sand optical discs?

Millenniata utilizes chemically stable and heat-resistant materials that are not used in any other DVD or optical disc! These materials cannot be overwritten, erased, or corrupted by natural processes. The normal laser energy employed to write DVDs or CDs cannot successfully write to the patented inorganic and synthetic materials used in the M-DISC

Data is stored on the M-DISC by physically altering the recording layer and creating permanent voids or holes. DVDs and other optical discs use organic dyes that break down over time, resulting in corrupt and unreadable data. These organic dyes are highly susceptible to temperature, humidity and even sunlight, starting to fade and decay the moment you record data.

Millenniata’s recording process utilizes higher temperatures and as much as 5 times more energy than any ordinary optical disc. This allows for permanent engraving on the M-DISC, what we refer to as pits. These pits are not affected by temperature, humidity and sunlight the same way dyes are, because the pits are permanent. This means when you burn data onto the M-DISC, it will last as long as you need it to.

How do we know?

The Naval Air Warfare Center at China Lake tested the M-DISC against the best conventional archival discs on the market produced by Mitsubishi, Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Delkin and MAM-A. The conditions were based on the 85°C/85% relative humidity industry test standard, supplemented with full-spectrum sunlight. The Navy’s goal was to simulate conditions at sea or in combat, which experience has shown to be a disc killer. The conclusion? The M-DISC suffered no data degradation at all while discs from Mitsubishi, Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Delkin and MAM-A failed after the stress period.

The Naval Air Warfare Center at China Lake has published these conclusions in the study, “Accelerated Life Cycle Comparison of Millenniata Archival DVD.” Conventional optical discs subjected to the same level of testing failed within 2 days while the M-DISC was not affected.

Media_httpwwwduplicat_dytsf
How can I access my data on an M-DISC?

Once written, the M-DISC can be read or played on any quality DVD drive that supports the common DVD+R/RW format. Most DVD drives that were manufactured after 2005 and almost all Blu-ray or BD drives support this format.

Best of all, you can access your data anywhere and anytime. It is the new standard in digital storage.

Please watch the video for more info and understanding the M-Disc technology

The M-DISC is for businesses, scrapbookers, photographers, archivists, genealogists, or literally anyone! Files are literally engraved on the M-DISC and will never suffer from decay or natural degradation. Plus, the M-DISC is compatible with any DVD player so you can access your files whenever you need them!

Produplicator - How does the Smart USB work

Produplicator offers a USB feature for the duplicator called "Smart USB". This feature will allow the user to transfer any type of file or digital information from a PC onto the Duplicator’s hard drive (HDD).  To do so, connect a computer with our duplicator’s hard drive via USB.  Then place all files that are to be transferred onto the duplicator’s HDD into a folder on the PC (each folder should be smaller than the full capacity of the type of media intended to be copied onto).  Use the provided software to move that folder onto the duplicator’s hard drive.  Once done, the controller is capable of burning all files inside this folder onto a blank disc as Data format.

Note: In order to make the Smart USB work, duplicator must have a Hard Drive and USB.

Produplicator and Smart USB Connection

The typical way to operate a standalone duplicator is to take a prerecorded master disc (typically a project that exists on the user's PC, which is burned onto a recordable disc creating the "Master Disc") for whatever project they want to duplicate. That master disc is then inserted into the duplicator's reader drive along with blank discs, for which the content is intended to be copied, and then the duplicator is activated to perform the copy procedure. It is not incredibly complicated but is not the most efficient way to initiate the copy procedure.

For this reason, Produplicator have a Smart USB Connection (optional on the duplicators) feature, which eliminates the need to create that first master disc. The feature works by transferring the content intended to be copied directly from a PC or even across a network and load it onto the duplicator’s hard drive (HDD). Once stored on the duplicator’s HDD, the user can initiate the copy process immediately, saving time and effort.

After Produplicator introduced this feature, competitive controller manufacturers tried to piggyback on Produplicator's success by offering similar features. However, the Produplicator version still reigns supreme due to the fact that it doesn't require some complicated third party software adaption to work. Produplicator's smart usb connection works through standard Window's point click operation whereas with a simple driver update. The competitor's version requires a 3rd party software that is not intuitive and is far more complicated and time consuming than the process it's trying to replace.

So don't let fancy titles or misrepresentations that others offer the same features as Produplicator fool you into thinking the features are exactly the same. Produplicator thinks about what will make the user's life easier, our competitors simply think, how they can match what Produplicator offers. Don't find out the hard way that it's easier to pretend to offer Produplicator's features than to actually match them. Instead, just purchase the Produplicator brand and avoid the hassles.

Produplicator and Copy Protection Software

Produplicator and Copy Protection Software

Everyone is accustomed to products or software being obsolete 10 minutes after they purchase it.  Either there’s a better and newer offering that comes out or the feature needs an upgrade to stay relevant and meet its expectations.

That’s true with our Copy Protection Software (CPS) as well.  The CPS can become susceptible to new technologies working to break the protective barriers created through other software solutions.  At Produplicator, we know that it’s impossible to make a perfect product that can’t ever be cracked and will always work with the video players.  But we do know how to find solutions to keep our products ahead of those softwares that may work to crack it.  So we constantly have revised firmware to improve the protection against ripping and duplication software that keeps popping up.

Produplicator is proud to announce the extension ofour popular USB Duplicator series

Produplicator is proud to announce the extension ofour popular USB Duplicator series

Our existingline of USB duplicators have been extremely popular due to their acceptance ofthe widest array of USB connected devices, true asynchronous operation, secure erase and many other easy to use features. Even though these systems have been very well received, a consistent question has always been whether we havelarger models, and today we are pleased to announce, yes we do!

The USB duplicator offers all the specialized features available on the smallermodels, including the patent pending unique true asynchronous duplication feature. So if you're USB duplication production has outgrown your current reproductionmethod, then the Produpliactor line of USB duplicators is the answer.

 Features:

  • Complete Standalone Operation: No PC required to operate the duplicator
  • Asynchronous Duplication: Able to copy any size master data onto multiple sources asynchronously (independently) without sacrificing duplication speed or quality for faster and more reliable duplication
  • Supports all currently available USB drive in the market
  • Secure Erase: Fully erase the USB device without the data being recovered

Produplicator's Daisy Chain Towers

Produplicator's Daisy Chain Towers

What's the purpose of purchasing a series of Daisy Chain duplicators? It's to produce a mass number of copies from a single master. The concept behind daisy chain duplicators is that you can connect multiple towers together so that when loaded with blank media, they can all simultaneously copy a single master project onto every disc in every drive across every tower at the same time.

So if your goal is to record an huge number of discs simultaneously, quickly, then any mishaps that could cause a large portion of the discs to fail the duplication process would not only be extremely frustrating and time consuming, but also extremely costly. Multiple towers all giving bad discs is far more costly than a single tower failing. That's the difference between Produplicator and the competition. Our daisy chain duplicators function in a manner that creates a natural firewall to prevent the mishaps of one tower affecting the rest of the towers in the chain. The difference being that the competition does not offer this capability and is far riskier in encountering a massive failure for all or a majority of discs being duplicated.

The concept is simple, picture the daisy chain towers are like houses and each room in the house is like each tower in the chain. The power for the houses is like the data flowing to each drive in the daisy chain. So if you have a house with 10 rooms (think 10 separate towers in a daisy chain configuration) if there are no circuit breakers or just a single circuit breaker for the whole house, then if there is a power surge that disrupts the power flow it will knock out the power in the entire house. If each room has its own circuit breaker (like each tower in the Produplicator Daisy Chain),then if there is a power surge in any particular room, it will only affect that particular room and the rest of the rooms in the house will function as normal. So the circuit breakers in each room, just like the hard drives in each tower, will act to isolate each tower from harm while still allowing the power/data to flow freely to each room/drive in the unaffected areas.

So what would you rather have, the assurance that if you have a drive that locks up or freezes, because you're using low cost/grade media, that it will not affect the majority of discs being duplicated? Or, take the chance that if the same thing happens on a non-Produplicator daisy chain system that you could lose every disc across all towers? Even with cheap media, that adds up and costs you time and effort as well to replace all those discs. When you're making so many discs at one time and time and costs are important to you, do you really want to take that chance?

If you'd like more clarification on the differences between the Produplicator Daisy Chain and the competition, feel free to contact our office anytime.

How To: Create a LightScribe Image

Hello everybody,

This is a tutorial about how to create a LightScribe Image good to use with a LightScribe duplicator.

I. Requirements:

To create a LightScribe image compatible with a LightScribe duplicator, you need:

1. A computer running Windows XP (It’s possible also on Mac or Linux, but the software delivered with the duplicator is compatible with Microsoft © Windows) plus a CD-RW or DVD-RW drive.
2. For Windows XP , you’ll also need the LightScribe Host Software (you can get it from HERE). For Vista, you don’t need to install this additional software.
3. The LightScribe software CD that was delivered with your duplicator.

II. Step by step :

1. First, if you have Windows XP, you will have to install the file at the 2nd point in the requirements section. Then install the LightScribe Template Labeler that was delivered with your duplicator.
2. Open the LightScribe Template Labeler, design your label and save it as an *.LSI file (example: lightscribe.lsi) .
3. Burn the LSI file you just created to a CD or DVD as any other usual data file.
4. Fill your duplicator with LightScribe blank media with the printing side facing down.
5. Insert the disc into your duplicator’s source drive and chose the Print option. It will let you chose the image from the CD or DVD and you will be able to read the file name on the duplicator’s display. Confirm the selection and the duplicator will start to print the discs that you insert on step 4.

How to use your USB interface

Hi guys,

There are a lot of clients that are encountering problems using the USB interface of the duplicator, so I thought, guess what … exactly, another tutorial :)

So here are the simple way of using the USB 2.0 interface of your duplicator :

1.From the duplicator’s main menu, you should press and hold for about 3 seconds the ESC key , and the advanced menu will appear on the screen .

Normally, this menu is hidden, because people who are not IT related, would damage a lot of functions if they don’t know what they change in this menu. But to enable the USB interface, you will have to go here . So, navigate to the menu called “USB Option” and set it to ON or Enabled (different, depending on your controller card version) . Then press Esc again, and the duplicator will require a reboot .

Basically, by this step you enabled the USB Menu in your duplicator’s main menu.

2.Now navigate to the last menu which now is not Setup anymore, is USB Option .

Here, press ENT, and the duplicator will ask you if you want to switch it to ON . Press the arrow keys, until you see YES , then confirm by ENT , and WAIT for the duplicator’s reboot . WARNING !! DO NOT REBOOT IT MANUALLY , have a little patience, it will reboot and your duplicator’s bottom drive will be recognized by your OS as an internal drive, if you connect the tower to the PC with the USB cable you received with the duplicator .

Also available in packages of CD copier and printer for the most effective cost solution, the CD printing machine will take care of your budget. CD inkjet printers features low price per disc for small to medium amounts.

Disc Publishing System - Disc Publisher Systems won a lot of fans in the last years, basically because it gives the opportunity to do the entire publishing process, from data burning to disc surface printing. A lot of manufacturers got into this area, like Microboards (Microboards printers, publishers), Primera (Primera Bravo with Primera technology), SySTOR and others. Using a publishing system, you minimize the acquisition costs and the cost per disc, because a single machine does all the work.

1 Tower + 1 Printer - Systor Starter Packages

This starter package contains a Systor CD/DVD Duplicator 22X SATA  Copy Tower and a Automated CD DVD Printer

Systor CD/DVD Duplicator 22X SATA  Copy Tower is a professional CD DVD duplicator offering optical disc burning technology with SATA connections.
